  1. Day 15

Good news is.... we got the RV fixed! We headed back on the road as soon as we got it fixed! We drove all the rest of the way through Oklahoma without much trouble. It was sad as we got closer to the Mississippi River to see the flooding that was still so bad, and yet better than what it was. We did make it to Atoka, Tennesee to see family though! So we won't have a whole lot of things to report for awhile. Hope you have a great day, and talk to you soon.

  2. Day 14

We are still in Elk City, OK. We have the part ordered that we need (hopefully). The earliest that we can get it is tomorrow. So by tomorrow night or Sunday at the very extreme latest we hope to be back on the road.
The good thing is that we are broke down in an area that has a lot to do. There is a Route 66 National Museum that is huge! Well worth the small admission fee! The museum covers all together two full blocks. They have a western town in the middle that is neat to look in. The ...

  3. Day 13

We enjoyed Vega, TX. It is a cute little town. But on the road we went. Not to far after we got on the freeway was Cadillac Ranch (where they have the cadillac's noses buried in the dirt so that the cars are at an angle). Everyone brings there own spray paint to leave their mark on Route 66. It really is kind neat to see how thick the spray paint is on the cars. It is such a big tourist atraction that it is even on the Texas map. We had fun spray painting GearJockeys.com on several of the cars, ...

  4. Day 12

We woke up in New Mexico and pretty much drove. We stopped in Santa Rosa, NM for brunch and decided to tour the town. They have an area called Blue Hole that is beautiful! It is a naturally occurring water hole that they use for scub diving. It is the clearest water that we have ever seen out side of a chemically treated pool.
In the same area/park they have two other water holes. One that looks like it is for fishing, and one for swimming. The one that they have for swimming has a diving ...

  5. Day 11

On day 12 of our journey we toured Holbrook. We went to the Holbrook Visitors Center. It is a great museum that is in the old court house, jail. The people that work there are the friendliest people that we have met on the trip! We absolutely love the area! You get to tour the old jail, that they have set up basically the same as when it was in use. You also get to tour the old court room and walk through all the rest of the building. They have really cool stuff on display in and through out the ...
